The intestines are not only the largest organ in the human body, but also an important part of the immune system. What's more, most of the body's defense cells are found in the intestinal lining. The intestinal immune system produces immunoglobulin A. These antibodies can protect the body from pathogens and allergens. The gut is therefore central to maintaining the health of the whole body's immune system.
The intestines are colonized by billions of microorganisms (also called Gut Flora).
Antibiotics, a poor nutritional diet (e.g. low in dairy products and fiber), as well as harmful substances in food, can disrupt healthy gut flora. Healthy intestinal flora is a prerequisite for healthy digestion and the basis for a functioning immune system.
When using Sitobact®, three nutritional and physiological aspects are taken into account simultaneously in one preparation:
1. Administration of five coordinated strains of probiotic lactic acid bacteria as a targeted dietary supplement. The total number of lactic acid bacteria is six billion in 1 capsule. Thanks to a special production process, the lactic acid bacteria reach the intestines alive.
2. Supplying the body with resistant dextrin (prebiotic). The soluble fibers that are used to feed the probiotic bacteria are called prebiotics. Resistant dextrins are short-chain carbohydrates that human digestive enzymes cannot break down.
3. Intake of zinc and four essential vitamins. Zinc, folic acid, vitamin D3 and vitamin B12 support the normal function of the immune system. Biotin contributes to the maintenance of healthy mucous membranes. The intestinal mucosa is one of the most important mucous membranes in the human body.
Attention: The product is a food supplement. Not to be used as a substitute for a varied diet. Store at room temperature (15°C-25°C) in a place inaccessible to small children. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
