Each NEORALIT SR tablet contains 195 mg of potassium in the form of 540 mg of potassium citrate, equivalent to 5 mEq of potassium.
The other ingredients of the tablet are: microcrystalline cellulose (E460), povidone, copovidone, magnesium stearate (E470b).

I. WHAT IS NEORALIT SR?
NEORALIT SR is a citrate salt of the element potassium, which is necessary for the maintenance of acid-base balance.

II. HOW DOES NEORALIT SR WORK?
NEORALIT SR supplies the body with citrate ions in the form of extended-release tablets, which ensures the gradual entry of active substances into the body, maintaining relatively constant levels of active substances, better

The citrate ions in NEORALIT SR are metabolized in the kidneys to bicarbonate ions. This helps maintain the acid-base balance of the urine within physiological values.
I. WHO SHOULD NOT TAKE NEORALIT SR?
It is not recommended to take NEORALIT SR in cases of:
- Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the tablet. The most common symptoms of an allergic reaction include rash, itching, swelling of the lips and face, shortness of breath. Consult your doctor if you experience any of these symptoms.
- High levels of potassium in the blood
- heart failure
- renal failure
I V. WHAT SHOULD I TELL MY DOCTOR BEFORE TAKING NEORALIT SR?
Tell your doctor if:
- Some of the following conditions apply to you:
- Dyson's disease
- Serious tissue damage, such as a severe burn
- Stomach and duodenal ulcer
- ischemic heart disease or previous myocardial infarction
- swelling of the feet and legs
- pregnancy, pregnancy planning and breastfeeding.
- Difficulty in passing the esophagus, stomach, and intestines.
- You are taking any of the following substances: aspirin, diuretics, potassium-sparing medicines, salt substitutes, steroids, high blood pressure medicines, quinidine, antacids, methenamine, ACE inhibitors (Captopril, Enalapril, Benazepril)

V. WHAT ARE THE SIDE EFFECTS OF NEORALIT SR?
At recommended doses, potassium citrate is generally well tolerated. Symptoms of stomach discomfort, nausea, vomiting may occur during the first few days.

VI. HOW SHOULD NEORALIT SR BE TAKEN?
NEORALIT SR is usually taken three times a day in doses depending on individual needs. Unless your doctor has recommended otherwise, take two NEORALIT SR tablets three times a day during meals or half an hour after meals. Swallow the tablets whole with a glass of water (240 ml).
Drinking extra fluids (2–3 liters per day) is recommended when using NEORALIT SR. Do not chew or break the tablets. Do not lie down for at least half an hour after taking the preparation. If you miss a dose, take your scheduled dose as soon as you remember. If you remember too late and it is almost time for your next dose, then wait and take your scheduled dose at the time of your next dose, skipping the missed dose. Never take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.
While taking NEORALIT SR, it is necessary to periodically test the acidity (pH) of your urine using the test strips supplied with the preparation. The acidity (pH) of the urine allows you to assess the correct dosage of the preparation. It is assumed that the dose is correctly selected when the acidity of the urine is within its physiological pH values (6.6–6.8). It is recommended that the acidity (pH) of the urine be tested twice a day.

VII. STORAGE
Store the preparation at a temperature between 15 and 30 °C in a dry place without direct sunlight, inaccessible to children. Do not store the preparation in the bathroom. Store NEORALIT SR in the original packaging.
Do not use the preparation after its expiration date or if the integrity of its packaging is compromised.
