- Omega-3 *
Omega-3 essential fatty acids (DHA and EPA) contribute to the normal development of your child's brain and vision, and it is important to ensure an optimal daily intake of at least 250 mg. The omega-3 content in Elevit is from a source that complies with the highest quality and purity standards (MEG-3™).
- Folate complex (folic acid + Metafolin® ***)
Optimum folate intake is important throughout pregnancy, ensuring the proper development of your baby as it supports the growth of maternal tissue (placenta) and cell division. Unfortunately, not all women can optimally metabolize the required amount of folate during this period. Elevit contains, in addition to folic acid, Metafolin® as an available source, ready for absorption without the need to activate it in the body. The balanced combination of folic acid (the stable synthetic version of folate that requires biological activation) and Metafolin (a bioactive folate) helps maintain optimal folate levels in pregnant women.
- Iodine
Iodine is an important nutrient for the normal growth and development of a child's brain. Iodine deficiency is the most common cause of mental retardation. It is also an important component of thyroid hormones.
