Folic Acid – Pregnacare Conception provides 400 mcg of folic acid, the exact amount recommended for all women trying to conceive. Taking folic acid as a dietary supplement improves the overall folate status of the expectant mother*. Low folic acid levels in the body are a risk factor for the development of neural tube defects in the growing fetus. Folic acid can be taken throughout pregnancy because it supports the growth of maternal tissue during this period and is involved in the processes of cell division.

Pregnacare Conception includes zinc, which contributes to normal fertility and reproductive function, and vitamin B6 for the regulation of hormonal activity.
