Folate is the natural and bioactive form of vitamin B9 /folic acid/. In the form of methylfolate 400 micrograms per dose, combined with a mix of fresh-frozen and dried for maximum absorption. Folate has a role in converting the dangerous amino acid homocysteine in high levels into the safe methionine. It favors the natural processes of the immune system in the body and the reproductive system in women. Terra Nova uses only the active form of B9 - calcium L-methyl folate - instead of its synthetic form as folic acid.
