MEDEL ANEROID COMPACT mechanical blood machine with stethoscope 95188
Medel ANEROID COMPACT is ideal for manual blood pressure measurement using the auscultation method. The Medel ANEROID COMPACT is equipped with a manometer, a pump with an air release valve and a built-in stethoscope, a washable cuff with a D-ring, a carrying case.
Make sure the cuff is completely flat. Tighten the cuff at the top of the left arm, making sure the tube is facing down. If the device is equipped with a D-ring (please check the equipment on the box), put on the cuff, place it in the right way, pull the cuff to the left, sliding it into the metal clip and fix it to the Velcro.
The lower edge of the cuff should be at least 2 centimeters above the elbow, at the height of the heart (photo 3). There should be enough space between the cuff and the hand to fit a finger inside.
The arrow in the cuff label should line up with the radial artery.
The membrane of the stethoscope should rest on the pulse position. Ask your doctor to show it if necessary. Take the bulb and make sure the pressure relief valve is closed (turn it clockwise). Inflate the cuff by depressing the bulb, continue pumping until you reach 20-30 mmHg beyond the highest expected pressure.
Slowly deflate the cuff by turning the pressure release valve counterclockwise until a pressure drop of 2-3 mmHg per second is obtained.
The first sound tone corresponds to the highest (or systolic) pressure, and the last tone corresponds to the lowest (or diastolic) pressure.
Open the exhaust valve to completely deflate the cuff. If it is necessary to interrupt the blood pressure measurement for any reason (for example, if the patient does not feel well), deflate the cuff immediately by fully opening the deflation valve.
