Lyophilized yeast Saccharomyces boulardii CNCM I-745
A medicinal product used as an antidiarrheal agent for:
- treatment of acute infectious diarrhea in adults and children;
- prevention and treatment of colitis and diarrhea caused by antibiotics;
- as an adjunct to vancomycin/metronidazole treatment to prevent recurrence of diseases caused by Clostridium difficile;
- prevention of diarrhea due to tube feeding;
- treatment of irritable bowel syndrome.
Dosage and method of administration:
1 or 2 sachets per day.
The contents of the sachet are dissolved in a little water or a sweetened soft drink, stirred and drunk. The powder can also be mixed with food.
Enterol contains living cells. Therefore, this medicinal product should not be mixed with very hot (over 50°C), iced or alcoholic beverages and foods.
