Gastrocid Ezo is an over-the-counter medicinal product for the short-term treatment of reflux symptoms (e.g. heartburn, heartburn). Reflux is the backflow of stomach acid from the stomach into the esophagus, which can lead to inflammation and pain. This may be the cause of your symptoms, such as a painful burning sensation in the chest that reaches the throat (heartburn) and a sour taste in the mouth (acid regurgitation). You may feel relief of acid reflux and heartburn symptoms after the first day from taking this medicine, but it is not intended to relieve them immediately.Suitable for:AdultsAlways read the leaflet before use!Active ingredients:Esomeprazole, Esomeprazole 20mgDosage:Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor has told you doctor or pharmacist. The recommended dose is 1 tablet daily. Do not exceed the daily dose of 1 tablet, even if you do not feel an improvement immediately. You may need to take the tablets for 2 or 3 consecutive days before you feel relief from the symptoms of reflux. The duration of treatment is 14 days. When the symptoms of reflux have completely subsided, you should stop taking this medicine. If the symptoms worsen or do not improve after taking the medicine for 14 consecutive days, you should consult a doctor. Warnings: Do not take Gastocid Ezo if you are allergic to esomeprazole or any of the other ingredients of this medicine, to medicines containing other proton pump inhibitors (eg pantoprazole, lansoprazole, rapeprazole or omeprazole); you are taking a medicine containing nelfinavir. Talk to your doctor before taking Gastrocid Ezo if: - you have had a stomach ulcer or gastrointestinal surgery in the past - you have been treated continuously for 4 or more weeks to improve the symptoms of indigestion or heartburn - you have jaundice or liver problems - you have severe kidney problems - you are over 55 years old. and you have new or recently changed reflux symptoms or need to take a daily medicine against indigestion or heartburn without a doctor's prescription. Gastrocid Ezo should not be taken for prophylaxis. As a precaution, it is preferable to avoid the use of Gastrocid Ezo time of pregnancy. You should not use this medicine while breast-feeding. If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine. Gastrocid Ezo contains sugar spheres that contain sucrose . If you have an intolerance to some sugars, consult your doctor before use.
