VALERIAN MAX tablets 200 mg * 20 SOPHARMA
If you suffer from insomnia, use Sopharma's Valeriana max tablets. This medical product belongs to the group of sedative and hypnotic drugs. It successfully calms the nervous system while reducing the feeling of tension as well as improving the quality of your sleep. The product reduces restlessness and irritability. Available in a convenient pack of 20 tablets.
Composition:
• The active substance is a dry hydroalcoholic extract of valerian 200 mg (Valerianae radix extractum siccum).
• The other ingredients are: silicified microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycolate, sodium stearyl fumarate.
• Film coating: Opadry P-pink, polyvinyl alcohol, macrogol 3350, titanium dioxide (E171), talc (E553), carmine (E 120), sunset yellow FCF (E 110).
How to use: For adults and children over 12 years old, as well as for elderly patients, the usual dose is 1 tablet 3 times a day. Tablets are taken, unchewed, with a sufficient amount of liquid.
Unwanted reactions:
Adverse drug reactions are very rare when using Valerian in therapeutic doses. There have been isolated reports of gastrointestinal disturbances. If you experience any side effects, please contact your doctor or pharmacist.
When should Valeriana not be used?
Valerian is not used in case of established hypersensitivity to the active substance or any of the excipients. It should not be used in children under 12 years of age because there is insufficient evidence of the safety and effectiveness of valerian at this age.
Special instructions:
Avoid simultaneous use with alcohol. The product contains castor oil and coloring E110. There may be cases of intolerance to the specific aroma of valerian.
Other medicines and valerian:
So far, no adverse drug interactions are known, but the simultaneous use of Valeriana with alcohol can cause an increase in their effect. Possible interactions with sedative drugs have not been studied.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding?
There are no reports of adverse effects on pregnancy and lactation, but due to lack of data, use during pregnancy and lactation is not recommended.
Driving and using machines:
It may impair the ability to drive and use machines. Affected patients should not drive or operate machinery.
Overdose:
To date, single cases of overdose have been reported after taking a dose exceeding 20 times the maximum therapeutic dose. With an overdose of Valeriana, the following symptoms can be observed: fatigue, nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, drowsiness, trembling of the hands, dilated pupils. In these cases, you should immediately stop taking valerian and contact your doctor. Symptomatic agents may be required.
