What is IDROFLOG and what is it for:
IDROFLOG is an ophthalmic solution containing sodium hyaluronate. Thanks to its pseudoplastic and mucous properties, it is distributed over the ocular surface evenly, forming a highly elastic protective barrier. Thus, IDROFLOG performs a "barrier effect" by reducing friction and stabilizing the tear film caused by blinking and eye movements. It protects the surface of the eye, activating the recovery processes obtained after discomfort of the cells of the corneal epithelium, which occurred due to hyposecretion of the tear film.
If, due to various factors, the glands secreting the tear film reduce their normal activity, the surface of the cornea is more exposed to external factors.
Thus, over time, the action of the corneal epithelial cells is disturbed and this leads to the risk of the appearance of disturbing inflammation. It is after the application of IDROFLOG that the barrier helps to protect the surface of the cornea from exposure to external factors and, together with the auxiliary effect of Hydrocortisone sodium phosphate (low anti-inflammatory activity, low dose and short-term cortisone effect), the risk of relapses of inflammation is prevented.
Thanks to its special physiological composition, IDROFLOG maintains and restores at a physiological level the main, essential for the health of the surface of the eye, ion concentrations such as potassium, magnesium and sodium.
It is recommended that IDROFLOG is always used under the direct supervision of your specialist doctor and for a limited period of time.
Composition:
Hydro-cortisone sodium phosphate 10 μg/ml, potassium chloride, sodium hyaluronate 2 mg/ml, magnesium chloride, sodium phosphate dibasic, water for injections, sodium phosphate monobasic, sodium chloride, tri-sodium citrate.
The product does not contain preservatives.
Not to be used:
In case of hypersensitivity to any of the chemical ingredients or other substances.
With added viral contamination of the eye surface, mycosis of the eye, barley, keratitis ulcers, purulent and herpetic blepharitis, purulent conjunctivitis.
Contraindicated during pregnancy, breastfeeding and for children.
Using machines or driving:
Due to its highly elastic properties, this product may cause temporary blurred vision upon application. Before driving or using machines, wait for this effect to subside.
How long and how often IDROFLOG is used:
IDROFLOG should be dosed individually according to the recommendations of your eye doctor and according to your condition. 1-2 drops of the solution are instilled into the treated conjunctival sac of the eye, 2 to 4 times a day. Treatment usually lasts from 2 to 6 months, but it must be specifically determined by your eye doctor and monitored by him/her every 30-45 days.
Application:
One vial is removed from the strip. Remove the cap at the top by twisting it.
1-2 drops are dripped into the conjunctival sac, dropping them from above.
IDROFLOG can be used even when wearing contact lenses.
Unwanted reactions:
A slight burning sensation may occur during the instillation, which disappears quickly.
In some rare cases, when instilled, a slight blurring of vision occurs due to the viscosity of the solution.
If symptoms persist and persist, contact your eye doctor immediately.
Adherence to the instructions in the given information leaflet lowers the risk of adverse reactions.
Attention:
IDROFLOG is intended for external use only. IDROFLOG is not used immediately before taking drugs for therapeutic purposes and 20 minutes after the application of any local pharmacological treatment.
If any worsening of eye symptoms occurs during treatment, contact your doctor immediately.
Your eye doctor should prescribe the duration of treatment.
Your specialist will prescribe an appropriate anti-inflammatory treatment if inflammation is already in progress, in order to restore the physiological state of the ocular surface.
It is recommended to open the aluminum bag immediately before using the product to reduce the risk of contamination during use. Do not allow the tip of the vial to come into direct contact with eyes, fingers or any other surface.
Keep out of the reach of children.
After the expiration date marked on the package, do not use.
The expiration date refers to a whole and properly stored product.
Storage:
This product is for single use. Discard the vial after initial use, even if it still contains some residual solution.
To be stored at a temperature between 2°C and 25°C.
