Important safety instructions
The instrument should only be used to measure body temperature!
The minimum measurement time, until the sound signal is heard, must be observed without exception!
Do not allow children to use the tool without parental control; some parts are small enough to be swallowed.
Protect the tool from shock and dropping!
Avoid bending the tip more than 45°!
Avoid ambient temperature above 60 °C. NEVER place the instrument in boiling water!
To clean the instrument, use only commercially available disinfectants that are specified in the "Cleaning and Disinfection" section.
It is recommended that the instrument be tested for accuracy every two years or after a mechanical shock (eg after being dropped). Please contact Mlcrolife-service to arrange the test.
Batteries and electronic devices must be disposed of in accordance with local applicable regulations and not with household waste.

Turning on the thermometer
To turn on the thermometer, press the On/Off button; a short beep is heard when the thermometer is turned on. The display is being checked. All segments are written on the screen. Then a "---" symbol and a flashing "°C" or "°F" appear on the display. The thermometer is ready for use.
Health check
The correct functioning of the thermometer is checked automatically each time the thermometer is switched on. If a fault (measurement inaccuracy) is detected, this is indicated by "ERR" on the display and the measurement becomes impossible. In this case, the thermometer must be replaced.
Using the thermometer
Select your preferred measurement method. When you measure the temperature, the current temperature is continuously shown on the display and the "°C" symbol flashes. If the beep sounds 10 times and "°C" no longer flashes, this means that the measured temperature increase is less than 0.1 °C in 6 seconds and that the value measured by the thermometer can now be read.
To extend battery life, turn off the thermometer by briefly pressing the On/Off button. Otherwise, the thermometer will automatically turn off after 10 minutes.
View the last measurement
Press the On/Off button. for 2 seconds, when turning on the thermometer. The last measurement will be displayed along with the memory symbol "M". Press the On/Off button. again to turn off the device.
Ways to measure / Normal body temperature
In the mouth (oral) / 35.5 - 37.5 °C
Place the thermometer in one of the two pouches under the tongue, to the left or right of the base of the tongue. The measuring sensor must be in good contact with the fabric. Close the mouth and breathe evenly through the nose to prevent the measurement from being affected by inhaled / exhaled air.
Recommended measurement time: 30 seconds.
In the anus (rectally) / 36.6 - 38.0 °C
This is the most accurate measurement method and is especially suitable for babies and small children. Carefully insert the measuring probe of the thermometer 2 to 3 cm into the anus.
Recommended measurement time: 30 seconds.
Under the arm (axillary) / 34.7 - 37.3 °C
To get more reliable results, we recommend taking the temperature orally or rectally.
Recommended measurement time: 3-5 minutes regardless of the beep.
Cleaning and disinfection
Use a swab OR cotton cloth soaked in alcohol (70% isopropyl) to clean the thermometer.
Please never immerse in liquids!
Battery replacement
When the upside-down triangle symbol appears on the display, the battery is low and needs to be replaced. To replace the battery, remove the battery compartment cover from the thermometer. Insert the new battery with the "+" facing up. Make sure you have the same type of batteries. Batteries can be purchased at any electronics store.

The warranty is 5 /five/ years after the date of purchase. Damage caused by improper handling is not covered by the warranty. The battery and packaging are excluded from the warranty. All other claims for damages are waived. The warranty claim must be submitted with the purchase receipt. Please package the defective instrument well and send with the necessary postage stamps to a Microlife distributor.
