Clear Ovu Test is a set of 5 ovulation tests and an hCG test strip for pregnancy detection. The ovulation test works on the basis of determining the levels of human luteinizing hormone (LH). The LH ovulation test is a three-layer immunodiagnostic test. When you add urine to the test block, it moves across it and mobilizes the anti-LH that the test block is coated with. The resulting mixture moves along the membrane under the influence of capillary pressure and the interaction of capillary pressure and interacts with the anti-LH antibodies with which the test area is coated. If LH is present, a red colored band appears in the test area. This control strip serves as an indicator of color saturation in the presence of about 30 mlU/ml LH. When the intensity of the band in the test area is equal to or stronger than that of the band in the control area, the test result is positive and indicates that the LH wave is starting. If LH is at its baseline, less than 15 mlU/ml, the saturation of the strip in the test section will be lighter than that of the strip in the control section. Human luteinizing hormone (LH) is a glycoprotein hormone produced by the pituitary gland. LH has a molecular mass of 30,000 daltons. LH is involved in the regulation of ovulation and ovarian function during menstruation. Approximately 12 to 36 hours after the LH surge, the enlarged sac is ready to release the mature egg. Upon subsequent ovulation, LH returns to baseline within 48 hours. The sudden change in the level of LH during the menstrual cycle makes it ideal for tracking ovulation. The LH ovulation test can detect the LH surge at a level of 30 mlU/ml in 3 minutes. Clear hCG Test is a test device for determining hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) in urine samples. Ovulation tests
Taking a urine sample:
1. Urine samples can be taken at any time of the day. Morning urine usually contains the highest level of LH. It is recommended NOT to use a first morning urine sample as such samples may report false positive results.
2. When testing is performed on several consecutive days, it is recommended that samples be taken at the same time each day.
3. Collect the urine samples in clean, dry, plastic or glass containers.
4. Samples may be refrigerated for up to 72 hours prior to testing. A refrigerated sample should be allowed to reach room temperature before testing.
5. Sodium acid up to 0.1% can be added as a preservative without affecting the test result.
Procedure:
To determine the length of your menstrual cycle, you should count the days from the first day of your menstrual bleeding to the last day before your next menstrual bleeding cycle begins. If a woman is unsure of her cycle length, she should use her shortest cycle in the last 6 months. In this case, more than 5 tests may be needed to establish the beginning of the LH wave. After determining the length of the menstrual cycle, please use the table attached on the carton to determine the day to start testing.
1. Remove the strip from the sealed foil package.
2. Dip the strip into the urine so that the arrows point to the sample. The urine level should not be higher than the limit line indicated by an arrow.
3.Remove the tape after a minimum of 20 seconds and place it on a clean, dry, non-absorbent surface.
4.Report the result between 3 to 10 minutes.
Do not report the result after more than 10 minutes!
Interpretation of the result:
1. When the test starts running, a purple colored line will appear in the middle section of the test result reading to indicate that the test is working correctly. This line is the control line (C). (The test should be positioned so that the arrows point to the right).
2. The right side of the result reporting area shows the test result. If another purple line appears on the right side of the result window, that line is the test line (T).
Positive result:
A. The presence of two colored lines of the same color and saturation in the test window, regardless of which of the two appeared first, indicates an increased level of LH. You will be ovulating in the next 24-48 hours.
B. The test line may be darker and more saturated than the control line. This also means a positive result.
Negative result:
A. The presence of a purple control line and a lighter test line means that an elevated LH hormone level is not detected. This means you are not ovulating.
B. The appearance of only the control line means that no increase in the LH hormone is detected.
Invalid result:
If no colored line appears in the result reading area or ONLY the test line appears, then this means that the test result is invalid, i.e. or the instructions were not followed correctly or the test has expired.
Contraindications:
1. Low levels of LH are usually detected in the urine and blood of healthy men and women before menopause, but not during the LH surge. Postmenopausal women usually have an increased level of LH.
Clear Hcg Pregnancy Test
Introduction:
CLEAR hCG Test is a test device for determining hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) in urine samples. The test device is designed to achieve a visual quality result for early pregnancy determination.
Test procedure:
Allow the test device to reach room temperature. To begin testing, open the foil package by tearing one end at the indicated location. Remove the test device from the packaging.
Dip the test strip into the urine specimen with the arrows pointing down. The urine level should not exceed the MAX marker line. Remove the strip from the urine after 30 seconds and place it on a flat, clean, dry, non-absorbent surface. Wait for the appearance of colored stripes. Depending on the concentration of hCG in the urine samples, positive results can be reported in as little as 40 seconds. However, to confirm negative results it is recommended to wait for the full reaction completion time, which is 5 minutes. Do not read results after more than 10 minutes.
Interpreting the results:
Positive: distinct well-defined test lines appear, one in the test region and the other in the control region. The presence of two colored lines indicates the presence of pregnancy. The color saturation of the test line may vary, as there are different concentrations of the hCG hormone at different stages of pregnancy.
Negative: only one color line appears in the control region. No color line present in the test region. This indicates that there is no pregnancy present.
Invalid: no visible color bands at all. Repeat the procedure with a new test device.
Storage and durability:
The test device should be stored at room temperature (2°C to 30°C) in the factory-sealed foil package and is good for use until the expiry date. The test device should be stored away from direct sunlight, moisture and heat.
