Facilitates expectoration, strengthens gastric secretion and that of bile. blister. It has an analgesic, antispasmodic and antiseptic effect.
Indications : As an aid in coughs of various origins, acute and chronic inflammations of the respiratory tract (bronchitis, pharyngitis, tracheitis laryngitis), colic and swelling of the stomach and intestines, biliary dyskinesia, gallstone disease; to increase the secretion of milk in nursing mothers. Dosage and method of use:
3-6 teaspoons of crushed anise seeds are placed in 300-400 ml of boiling water.
After 1 hour, strain. Sweeten as desired.
Dosage and administration:
Adults take 60-120 ml 3 times a day after meals.
For children over 1 month, 50 ml three times a day.
Contraindications: -allergy to anethole
Adverse reactions: rarely skin reactions — contact dermatitis, photodermatitis.
Special warnings for use: due to strengthening of gastric secretion, avoid application in gastritis with increased acidity; duodenal ulcer.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding:
Not to be used during pregnancy. During breastfeeding, it can be used if necessary. Increases the secretion of milk in nursing mothers.
Overdose:
There are no data on the occurrence of specific symptoms in case of overdose. In case of overdose, the usual measures and symptomatic treatment are applied. To be stored in a place inaccessible to children.
