What is hyaluronic acid?
Hyaluronic acid is a sulfur-free glycosaminoglycan widely distributed in connective, epithelial and nervous tissues. It is one of the main components of the extracellular matrix, contributing significantly to cell proliferation and migration. Average male, weighing 70 kg. contains approximately 15 grams of hyaluronan in the body, of which a third is processed (degraded and synthesized) every day.
Hyaluronic acid is known as the "key to the fountain of youth" as some people who take large amounts of it have been observed to live to a ripe old age. Could it be an anti-aging agent?
Scientists have recently focused on the possible anti-aging benefits of hyaluronic acid, also known as hyaluronic acid or HA. In a story titled "Village of Long Life: Could Hyaluronic Acid Be an Anti-Aging Agent?", the focus is on a rural area in Japan called Yuzuri hara, where people tend to live long and often have excellent skin at 80 or even 90 years. More than 10 percent of the village's population is 85 or older, about ten times the average.
Some research suggests that the reason the residents of Yuzuri hara, known as the "Village of Long Life", enjoy such longevity and health is mainly due to the local unique diet, which includes a starchy vegetable that is particularly rich in HA. In fact, a large pharmaceutical company in Japan has begun "Research and Development" of a medicinal supplement containing HA. When the drug was tested on 1,000 subjects, about half reported smoother skin and even improved vision. Hyaluronic acid has proven effective in lubricating arthritic joints, and some studies have shown positive results from injecting it into them, delaying the need for joint replacement, as the acid is a component of the body's natural lubricating fluid.
How does hyaluronic acid work?
Hyaluronic Acid is abundant at birth, but its levels gradually decrease over time. This decline likely accounts for much of the observed aging process. Hyaluronic acid is found in the deep layers of the skin, known as the dermis, and is thought to promote the maintenance of smooth skin due to its ability to retain water. It also apparently helps in healing skin wounds and some other problems.
The function of hyaluronic acid is to lighten and lubricate. It is present throughout the body in large amounts in many places where people with hereditary connective tissue disorders suffer from problems, such as joints, heart valves and eyes. Abnormalities related to hyaluronic acid are often a sign of connective tissue problems. Interestingly, they are common biochemical abnormalities in most individual features of connective tissue disorders such as mitral valve prolapse, TMS, osteoarthritis, and keratoconus.
Why take hyaluronic acid?
Hyaluronic acid helps maintain collagen levels. Under normal circumstances, collagen depletion is thought to be a major factor in the irregularity of skin elasticity and tone, something often associated with the observed aging process.
Hyaluronic acid makes up about 80% of the human eye, a fact that surprises some people. It is a type of retinal shock absorber in the retina that helps protect the eye from trauma. Hyaluronic acid has only recently been considered effective in oral form, although it has long been used by injection into the joints.
It is used exclusively to correct many of the problems found in connective tissue disorders, such as fractures, eye problems, poor wound healing, and premature wrinkling of the skin. It is logical to assume the possibility that hyaluronic acid acts to correct these problems, since defects or deficiencies related to it are the initial cause leading to them.
HAYA Labs Astragalus - Astragalus (Astragulus membranaceus) has been used in China for thousands of years, where it is commonly used to support the immune system and reduce stress.

The Chinese name for astragalus is "huang ki", which means "yellow energy". Asian scientists have conducted several studies on this ancient herb. They confirm its adaptogenic properties, the ability to support a healthy immune system and a good anti-inflammatory effect. Analyzes are currently underway to study several other potential benefits.
The part of the plant that is used is the root. The known active ingredients in Astragalus are polysaccharides. HAYA Labs Astragalus standardized to 70% polysaccharides and available in a pack of 60 vegetarian capsules.
