The vaginal ecosystem consists of a population containing mainly lactic acid bacteria (lactobacilli) that contribute to maintaining
of the correct balance of this ecosystem, by maintaining a physiological pH between 3.8 and 4.5. Normally, the vaginal microflora inhibits
the growth of pathogenic microorganisms through various mechanisms, such as the production of organic acids and in particular of
lactic acid, bacteriocins and hydrogen peroxide.
Lactobacilli are essential for the healthy maintenance of the vaginal microflora and for the normal functioning of the vagina
the urogenital system. Under certain circumstances, lactobacilli can be absent and this can lead to unpleasant manifestations, such as vaginal
discharge, itching, pain and burning. The intestinal tract functions as a reservoir for vaginal lactobacilli, therefore the intake of lactobacilli through
the mouth helps to maintain the normal vaginal microflora and to prevent functional disturbances in the urogenital system.
It is also known that the vaginal microflora is maintained healthy by a certain physiological composition of lactobacilli. Because of this one
reason, a balanced composition of vaginal lactobacilli, similar to the physiological one, has been developed, which is taken orally as a nutritional
supplement to help restore the vaginal microflora.
What ASTARTE is and what it is used for.
ASTARTE is an Austrian patented food supplement (Patent number EP2509610) available as herbal capsules that contain four
strain of lactic acid bacteria [L. crispatus LBV88 (DSM 22566), L. rhamnosus LBV96 (DSM 22560), L. gasseri LBV150 (DSM 22583), L. jensenii LBV116 (DSM
22567)].
Ingredients: live lactic acid bacteria (Lactobacillus crispatus LBV88, Lactobacillus rhamnosus LBV96, Lactobacillus gasseri LBV150, Lactobacillus jensenii
LBV116); fructo-oligosaccharides; capsule coating: hydroxypropyl - methyl cellulose, titanium dioxide; corn starch, anti-caking agents
agents: magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide.

One capsule contains no less than 2.5 billion live cells of lactic acid bacteria that form colonies (cfu). This value is guaranteed
until the expiration date for unopened product.
Indications: ASTARTE is a product containing four strains of lactic acid bacteria and is designed specifically for the comfort of women. ASTARTE
contributes to restoring and maintaining the balance of the intestinal and vaginal microflora, thus maintaining normality
functioning of the urogenital system.
Recommended dosage: For oral use. 2 capsules per day, preferably taken before meals with a glass of water or other
liquid. For the correct use of the product, it is recommended to follow the doctor's advice.
Warnings: Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Keep out of the reach of small children. The product does not contain
lactose, gluten, soy or other substances with a potentially allergic effect. This product is a dietary supplement and should not be used as a
a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.

Storage conditions: This product contains live lactic acid bacteria that are sensitive to heat; store the product away
from humidity and at a temperature not higher than 25°C. The expiration date refers to an unopened, properly stored product. No
use the product after the expiration date marked on the package as EXP. The date refers to the last day of the month.
Package size: 2 blisters with 7 capsules in a cardboard box. Do not flush any nutritional supplements or medications down the drain
