It is used: for the treatment and prevention of vitamin B6 deficiency conditions that can lead to sideroblastic anemia, neurological disorders, seborrheic dermatitis, chapped lips; in treatment with products that disrupt the metabolism of vitamin B6 such as cycloserine (an antibiotic), isoniazid (an anti-tuberculosis drug), penicillamine (a drug that suppresses the immune system); in the complex treatment of alcoholism, burns, metabolic disorders, hyperthyroidism (increased function of the thyroid gland), in intestinal diseases with diarrheal symptoms, malabsorption syndrome (impaired absorption), in patients on hemodialysis and after gastrectomy (removal of the stomach).
