RAINFOREST WHEATGRASS Powdered wheat stalks 200g
Wheat bran is one of the most effective natural health supplements because it heals, alkalizes, detoxifies and energizes our body. They are rich in nutrients, including important vitamins, minerals, enzymes, phytonutrients (plant compounds with beneficial effects on the body) and all essential amino acids. They also contain chlorophyll, which is a powerful antioxidant and has a natural detoxifying effect as it helps purify the blood and restore the liver.
METHOD OF PRODUCTION
Our wheat stalks are sourced from an organic farm in Canterbury, New Zealand. They are harvested while the plant is young, i.e. no higher than 30 cm. Within six hours of picking, they are transported to an organic certified drying factory, where the moisture content is reduced to around 4%. This is achieved using hot air dryers. The drying process takes 20-25 minutes. Samples are taken every hour for daily quality control. Once dried, the powdered stalks are first ground into particles approximately 150 - 200 microns in size and then down to 50 microns. Then they are packaged.
