Evening primrose oil (Oenothera biennis) is extracted from the seeds of the plant grown in controlled organic farming. The oil is carefully pressed at low temperatures below 40° C, in the absence of light and air, and without the use of chemical solvents. The oil is bottled in an inert atmosphere and thus the unsaturated fatty acids are not oxidized. It is a rich source of unsaturated fatty acids, especially linoleic acid and gamma-linolenic acid, which are crucial for the construction of cell membranes and the creation of beneficial prostaglandins. They play an important role in our immune system.
Evening primrose oil helps to minimize various eczemas and rashes, to regenerate the skin, hair (in the form of oil masks) and nails. It has a beneficial effect on menstrual difficulties or during menopause, as it maintains the hormonal balance. It contributes to the regulation of blood pressure, heart activity and cholesterol level, as well as metabolism, accelerates fat burning and suppresses fat deposition. Evening primrose oil helps to strengthen the overall immunity of the human body.
Recommended daily intake: 1.5g-3g daily (1-2 tablespoons).
