Description of the product:
Afrin ND is a decongestant that relieves nasal congestion by constricting the blood vessels in the nose. Its action begins after a few minutes and lasts for hours. Afrin ND is used for the symptomatic relief of nasal congestion (stuffy nose) caused by hay fever, colds and sinusitis.
Can be used every 12 hours.
If after 7 days you do not feel better or your condition worsens, you should seek medical attention.
Dosage:
· Adults and children > 10 years: 1-2 sprays in each nostril every 12 hours.
· Children 6-10 years: 1 spray in each nostril every 12 hours.
· No more than a total of 8 injections for adults (4 for children) should be given in a 24 hour period.
· Do not exceed the prescribed dose.
· Afrin ND should not be used for longer than 7 days, unless your doctor has prescribed otherwise. Wait a few days before reapplying the product.
Application:
Shake well before use. Before the first use, prime the spray by pressing the pump several times until the first full dose is dispensed.
While holding the spray upright, insert the tip into each nostril alternately and press the pump firmly once or twice while inhaling.
Active substance: oxymetazoline hydrochloride 0.5 mg/ml

Precautions: Do not use Afrin ND if:
- you are allergic to oxymetazoline hydrochloride or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine;
- if you are taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs - inhibitors used to treat Parkinson's disease and depression);
- if you have angle-closure glaucoma (increased eye pressure);
- if you have had a transsphenoidal hypophysectomy (surgical removal of the pituitary gland);
- if you have inflammation of the skin and mucous membrane of the vestibule of the nasal cavity and crusts (dry rhinitis);
- if you have acute coronary disease or cardiac asthma.
Consult your doctor if you have: coronary artery disease, hypertension (high blood pressure), hyperthyroidism (increased thyroid gland function), diabetes mellitus, difficulty urinating due to an enlarged prostate gland. Do not use Afrin ND for children under 6 years of age.
Afrin ND can be used by pregnant women if its use is in accordance with medical recommendations and should not be used during breastfeeding. Contains benzalkonium chloride and benzyl alcohol. The drug is sold without a prescription. Always read the instructions before use. Consult a doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions or concerns.
