1. What Xilogel Hydro is and what it is used for

Xilogel hydro is a medical product in the form of a delicate gel for the nose, containing a combination of moisturizing substances. Xilogel hydro protects the mucous membrane of the nose from excessive drying and removes the sensation of dryness and burning. It restores the proper function of the nose and protects its mucous membrane from drying out, thereby helping to treat the infection.

After application, Xilogel Hydro is completely spread over the inner surface of the nose, forming a uniform protective layer that remains on the surface of the mucous membrane without affecting the function of its ciliated apparatus.

Due to its gel-like formula, when applied, Xilogel hydro does not run from the nose or down the throat.

Xilogel hydro has a moisturizing effect and removes the feeling of dryness of the nasal mucous membrane caused by:

- infectious dry rhinitis;

- very dry indoor air caused by central heating or air conditioning;

- high or low ambient temperature;

- cigarette smoke or other air pollutants;

- use of drugs that cause dryness of the mucous membrane and damage to its epithelium.

Xilogel hydro can be used if crusts form in the nasal cavity that are difficult to remove.

2. What you need to know before using Xilogel hydro

Do not use Xilogel hydro if you are allergic to any of the ingredients of this medical device.

Warnings and precautions

Xilogel hydro contains benzalkonium chloride as a preservative - it can have an irritating effect on the mucous membrane of some allergy-prone people.

Avoid contact with eyes.

There are no contraindications for the use of Xilogel hydro during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

3. How to use Xilogel hydro

Follow the directions for use below to make sure you use Xilogel Hydro correctly.

For hygienic reasons, the packaging of the medical device should only be used by one person.

How to use

Use 2-4 times a day, applying 1-2 doses of the gel in each nostril.

Use the protective cap before each use of the medical device.

Before the first use of a new bottle, after removing the cap, press the dispenser several times until the gel appears.

Insert the tip into the nostril.

Holding the bottle upright, squeeze the dispenser, which will cause a dose of gel to be administered into the nostril.

Do not blow your nose immediately after using the gel.

The duration of treatment with Xilogel hydro depends on the duration of the disease, but should not exceed 30 days.

If the medical device is to be used on a child, discuss this with a physician.

If you have used more Xilogel hydro than you should

Do not use doses greater than recommended.

No cases of overdose or poisoning with Xilogel Hydro have been reported.

4. Possible side effects

There are no reports of side effects after using Xilogel hydro.

Please notify the manufacturer if allergic reactions or other side effects occur.

5. How to store Xilogel hydro

Store in a tightly closed bottle in the outer packaging.

Keep out of the reach of children.

Store at 15°C–25°C.

Do not use Xilogel hydro after the expiration date marked on the package. The expiration date refers to the last day of the specified month.

Shelf life of the medical device after first opening the bottle – 12 weeks

Ingredients: glycerol; disodium phosphate dodecahydrate; hydroxyethylcellulose; sodium chloride;

sodium dihydrogen phosphate monohydrate; Purified water; disodium edetate; solution of

benzalkonium chloride.

What Xilogel Hydro looks like and contents of the pack

Xilogel hydro is a colorless to slightly yellow transparent gel without odor.

Packaging: 15 ml polyethylene (HDPE) bottle containing 10 g of gel, closed with a PE dosing pump with aluminum cap and dispenser in a cardboard box.
