What is GripVis Nasal Spray ?

GripVis nasal spray can be used by adults and children over 1 year.

What does GripVis nasal spray contain?
GripVis nasal spray is a clear, colorless, odorless viscous solution. 1 ml of solution contains 1.2 mg iota-carrageenan (Carragelose®), 0.4 mg kappa-carrageenan, sodium chloride and purified water.
What are the properties of GripVis nasal spray?
GripVis nasal spray forms a moisturizing protective coating on the nasal mucosa. This liquid layer serves as a mechanical barrier against external influences and thus can protect against colds and flu-like illness caused by cold viruses.
The nose is the most common route of infection with the viruses that cause colds and flu-like illnesses. These diseases are caused by viruses, such as rhinoviruses and coronaviruses. If viruses enter the nose, they can attach to the mucosa and infect the mucosal cells where they multiply
and distribute. This leads to the typical symptoms of a cold, such as stuffy or runny nose, sore throat and/or headache, cough, etc.
In the early stages of the disease, it is often not possible to differentiate between a cold and the flu. The flu is a potentially serious illness. The exact diagnosis must be made by a doctor.
GripVis Nasal Spray contains Carragelose®, a substance extracted from red seaweed. Carragelose® has two main effects:
- GripVis nasal spray forms a protective barrier against cold viruses on the nasal mucosa. Colds and flu-like illnesses are caused by a wide variety of viruses, such as rhinoviruses and coronaviruses. Carragelose® non-specifically envelops cold viruses and prevents their attachment to the mucous membrane. In this way, the reproduction and spread of viruses that infect the respiratory tract is reduced.
- GripVis nasal spray forms a moisturizing protective coating. Thanks to the action of Carragelose®, this coating remains longer on the nasal mucosa and acts as a mechanical barrier against external influences. This physiological moisturizing coating supports the body's natural defenses against cold viruses.
What is GripVis nasal spray used for?
FluVis Nasal Spray can shorten the duration of flu-like illnesses and ease the severity of
cold symptoms. GripVis Nasal Spray can reduce the occurrence of new infections and subsequent cold symptoms due to viruses.
GripVis nasal spray moisturizes the nasal mucosa and thus serves to prevent and support the treatment of all complaints resulting from dry and irritated nasal mucosa.
